Asian Pitch chooses winning docus
Tokyo, japan -- MediaCorp, NHK and KBS have selected three projects for that Asian Pitch -- a regional pitching event for Asian docu-makers, the partners introduced on Friday. The 3 those who win, selected from nearly 100 distribution and 10 short-listed nominees, will get full funding in the partners. Raja Shabir Khan (India), Park Hwan-Sang (Columbia) and Mohammed Redhaudeen Bin Hassan (Malaysia) all intend to rapidly launch production and also have their docus ready for worldwide broadcast by summer time 2012. Khan's "Shepherds of Paradise" follows India's nomadic shepherds, Park's "The Bridle of Equine Fighter" will concentrate on males in the Miao minority active in the sport of horsefighting, and Bin Hassan's "The Wild Zoysia Hunter" will examine the lives of untamed zoysia predators in Malaysia. The Asia Pitch travelled the ten short-listed nominees to Singapore, where they pitched their projects to producers from MediaCorp, NHK and KBS. This program has become in the fifth year.
